Is it weird that I think of potions of leaping and water breathing, ocean monuments, multiple fish types, rabbits, endermites, acacia and dark oak, and banners as new?
Also I still call resource packs texture packs

Well ocean monuments were added in 1.8
I still occasionally call resource packs texture packs. You are not alone.

Even The New And Classic Texture Packs Are Called "Updated Texture Pack" And "Classic Texture Pack".
