RIP Minecraft 2
Someone made this point already, but a sequel would be like lighting the TNT of the game's Core, then just covering it with a single layer of dirt. They're under the same name... but with a split fanbase, arguments will occur between the games, and their communities. The resource teams would be split, both in time and effort, and updates would be worse, slower, less substantial, or a mix thereof, sparking more anger.
Technically they already did, minecraft bedrock edition
I think Minecraft 2 will be the same why to pay when we have already have a cool Minecraft
I agree with @LANDON TUCKEY . I see no reason for a new Minecraft if they just keep updating the first one.
#UpdatesOnceEvery5Months :/
Eh... I'd say Quality over Quantity, but I believe Minecraft is a game that needs a balance of both. It's not Fortnite, which needs updates on the week, but it also isn't something needing a semi-yearly update schedule, and while I know the updates are (usually) filled with content and take time to make, I wouldn't mind smaller sets of updates maybe quarterly?
Also, doing so would help spruce up variety. As far back as I can remember:
1.14 Added Building Items, Crafting Benches, The Crossbow (Which isn't all that good in PVP outside of certain builds), Village Revamp, and Pillagers. Good for builders and people who want Crossbows on PVE, but little for those who enjoy PVP.
1.13: Added Building Items, Conduit (Very limited use), Drowned, which unfortunately are no more then water zombies, shipwrecks, and the Trident (Which again, outside of certain builds and enchantments is almost useless in PVP). Good for builders and people who like the ocean... doesn't help anyone else.
1.12: Added, as far as I'm aware, Glazed Terracotta, Concrete Powder, and Concrete. That's about it. Good for bulilders... and that's it.
I don't remember enough off hand for earlier, but I know that the last few updates have really been kinda lacking in the combat department, and while I know a combat update has been made, I only say this for the balance of both the Single Player and the Multi Player.
And for those of you who may be thinking this at this point, I'll debunk it now: I despise PVP at it's core. I enjoy it when modified, whether it be with guns, kits, classes, magic, or other variations, but straight up, sword vs. sword, I can't stand it.
Dang you didn’t need to write a report for Junior High but ok
