Yes, yes, long title. However, this really is a real thing. I'm fairly certain that most of the people here won't even know what it is. Tell me, have you ever heard of the 'Elytra Wings'? Of course you have! Almost everyone has tried to use them to fly at least once! However, do you know what the name is a reference to? Probably not. Probably not. It is a reference to a time and game few Minecrafters know or remember. A Fox, a quest, and the cheese...to DIE for! Er, scratch that, no dying for cheese today! Anyways, if you're thinking of Oblivion, then you are correct! (If you don't know what this is and you are above ten, I encourage you to check this out on Steam [I say ten as that is most likely the minimum age that you can play this, due to it's being an Elder Scrolls game, and for anyone wondering, it is not NSFW or a horror game]) You see, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has this one DLC called "The Shivering Isles" in which you go this insane plane of existence. In this place, there are these creatures called Elytra. And know, you may be thinking "This isn't an Easter-Egg, this is clearly just 'Oblivion' taking the name from Minecraft." Well, you couldn't be more incorrect if you are. Oblivion came out in 2006, an entire three years before Minecraft. The cool thing is, the Elytra are an insect-like species and insects normally have wings. Well, I hope you learned something new. Safe travels. And if you ever happen to stop by the Shivering Isles, feel free to drown in the cheese! Wait, scratch that, don't drown in the cheese. Bad for business. Eat the cheese!
