I usually mine tunnels at diamond level and get all sorts of ores. Yes I use a lot of pickaxes and get a lot of stone but I'm usually working on something that needs a lot of stone.

I was talking about mining your own tunnels. But if you find a really big cave then yes especially if you have a fortune pickaxe.

Deep underground. Like if you have a diamond mine then you probably have a few stacks of Redstone
