18w44a is the fourth snapshot for Java Edition 1.14. Released on October 31, 2018, it adds 10 new blocks and stray cats as their own separate mob.

Additions

Blocks

Barrel

• Only available in the creative inventory
• Currently have the inventory of a chest, and its GUI is only accessible through spectator mode.

Bell

• Currently have no functionality
• Only available in the creative inventory
• Can be anchored to the top and bottom of blocks

Blast Furnace and Smoker

• Currently function as a furnace
• Only available in the creative inventory
• Its GUI is only accessible through spectator mode

Cartography Table, Fletching Table, Smithing Table, Grindstone, Lectern, and Stonecutter

• Currently have no functionality
• Only available in the creative inventory

Mobs

Cats

• Added stray cats which came be tamed
• Drops 0-2 string
• Cat collars can now be dyed
• Added seven new cat skins
• Will hiss at phantoms

General

• One new advancement: A Complete Catalogue – Tame all cat variants!

Changes

• Right-clicking on signs with dyes will now change the text color
