Wood, formerly known as Bark blocks, is a type of block that is similar to logs. However, the only difference is that all sides of the cube have the log textures found on the sides. Its uses include being made into planks, burned in a furnace, and used in construction. Additionally, charcoal can be made by burning wood in a furnace.

Bark blocks were added and were only available in 1.13 prerelease 1. In 1.13 prerelease 2, the bark block textures were changed to be the same as the original wood block textures, and in 1.13 prerelease 5, they were renamed back to wood.
