A Block of Diamond (also known as a Diamond Block) is a block that first appeared in Minecraft Indev, and it can be crafted by putting nine Diamonds in a Crafting Table. Diamond Blocks can only be mined successfully with an Iron, Diamond, or Netherite Pickaxe. To get the Diamonds back, simply put the Diamond Block in the Crafting Grid to split it back into nine Diamonds. Diamond Blocks can be used to power a Beacon.
Diamond blocks can be found in doorless rooms inside Woodland Mansions, and those Diamond Blocks are usually encased in Obsidian or Lava inside said rooms.

They serve as decoration, compact storage for Diamonds, and a way to power Beacons.

To craft Diamond blocks, you will need 9 diamonds.
Mining[]
A Block of Diamond requires an iron pickaxe or better to harvest, otherwise, it will drop nothing.

Trivia[]
- In Minecraft Pocket Edition, there was a glitch that if the player renamed 9 diamonds with an anvil, they could craft a diamond block and still keep the diamonds thus, creating infinite diamonds. The same could be done to any mineral that could be crafted into a block. However, this bug was patched.
