A coral block is a solid block that can be found on the sea floor in warm Ocean Biomes.
Overview[]
Coral blocks come in five color variations, matching the decorative corals, tube, brain, bubble, fire, and horn. They generate in large quantities, as part of coral reefs. Coral blocks can only be obtained by mining with a Silk Touch-enchanted pickaxe. If a block is mined without the silk touch effect, it will instead drop dead coral, a gray-colored block. Similar to coral, a coral block will die if a player places it out of water, turning into dead coral.
Usage[]
- Coral blocks can be used as decoration.
- As of update 1.14, Wandering Traders will possibly offer the option to trade 3 Emeralds for a coral block or 1 emerald for 3 in the Bedrock Edition.
