Mooblooms are the buttercup-colored variant of the mooshroom.

History[]

On September 27, 2020, it was announced that a mob vote will take place during Minecraft Live 2020 on October 3 at 12 PM Eastern - the Moobloom was one of three mobs on the vote, but was eliminated. They would have spawned in flower forests and interacted with bees in some way. It is very unlikely that buttercups will make it into Minecraft now that the Moobloom won't make it in.

Behavior[]

Main article: Mooshroom

Similar to mooshrooms, they mostly had the same AI behavior. They wander aimlessly, avoiding lava and cliffs high enough to cause fall damage.

Exclusively, Mooblooms would have left a trail of buttercups when they walk, making it a renewable source for yellow dye.

As stated in the mob vote article in the official Minecraft website, "rumor has it that if Mooblooms move into Minecraft, they will be able to interact with bees." Mooblooms may have interacted with bees if they had gotten into the game.[1]
