The Outer End is a biome that has been accessible since the release of 1.9 - The Combat Update. The area consists of floating islands of various sizes, scattered throughout the surrounding void. Chorus Plant forests, floating End Ships, and massive End cities can also be found here.

To teleport to the Outer End, a player has to:

OR

  • Build a bridge

It is possible to physically build a bridge to the islands of the Outer End, but this isn't a viable option, as the gap is around 1000 blocks long. Another way of accessing the islands is by using elytra and firework rockets. The outer End consists of some large islands, with chorus plants and End city structures. Another way to get there is to build a redstone contraption to take the player there, but the most viable option for a single player world would be to use the end gateway.
