Sugar is an item obtained by one of many methods – most commonly is putting sugar cane in a crafting table. Sugar can also be obtained by killing witches or putting honey bottles in the crafting table.

Sugar (along with wheat, milk, and bread) is needed to create a cake. It is also used to created Fermented Spider Eyes and Pumpkin Pies. When sugar is brewed with a Water Bottle, it creates a Mundane Potion; when brewed with an awkward potion, it creates a potion of swiftness
Sugar can be fed to horses to heal 1 (

Since sugar cane can be difficult to find in some places, it can be difficult to obtain it.
