I was getting bored, so I decided to do a blog post on the Village and Pillage update in Minecraft that came out in April. Here's what I like and dislike.
My Likes:
- I like the arrival of two new mobs: the Pillager and Ravager.
- I like the new structure of the Pillager Outpost and I appreciate the loot that can be found in there. Also, there are Iron Golems that might be trapped around the outpost.
- I like how you can get discounts on Trading with Villagers after you defeat Raids and you get the Hero of the Village Status Effect.
- I like that the Smoker is can smelt food faster than a regular Furnace and how a Blast Furnace can smelt ores faster than a regular furnace can.
- I like that the Stonecutter can be used to craft different stones.
- I like how the Grindstone removes Experience Points from enchanted items and give it to the player for collection.
My Dislikes:
- I don't like how a Smithing Table and Fletching Table can be made on a Crafting Table but have no GUI and can only be used to give a villager a profession.
- I don't like how Pandas will walk up to a certain dropped piece of Cake and eat it.
- I don't like how Witches can be a part of raids. They don't even classify as illagers (or do they?).
- I don't like how Campfires drop two pieces of Charcoal when broken with a tool not enchanted with silk touch. Silk touch is my least favorite enchantment.
